Water & the Arts Symposium

Editor’s Note: This post was updated on Feb. 28th, 2013 to include a video.

“The Water and the Arts Symposium” celebrated the intersection of water, science and art at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. The symposium addressed the theme of water and the environment, smart water design, diverse visual arts, dance, poetry, and live music!

On  February 26th, 2013 Western Resource Advocates’ Water/Energy Analyst Amelia Nuding, Water Policy Analyst Jorge Figueroa, and intern Kyle Donovan presented a musical rendition of Justice Greg Hobbs poetry at the symposium.

Ms. Nasar joined WRA in June 2012 bringing with her extensive experience with multimedia production, online social media, marketing, videography and film editing, and writing. Her past projects have taken her to the natural gas rigs on the Roan Plateau, to Thailand to trace an endangered cat, and to the peaks of 14,000-foot mountains. She has worked as a teaching assistant, a digital media and communications specialist, and an editor and reporter. Ms. Nasar has an M.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of Colorado with a Graduate Certificate in Environment, Policy and Society and a B.A. in English Literature from the University of California in Santa Cruz.

  1. It would be nice to see the date, and had this a little sooner. With such a distinguished “cast” it wouldn’t be out of line to have a donate button close to video performance, and at least suggest a free will donation. I had to pay $25.00 for a CD of the AGWF conference held in Denver a few months ago. I’ll double my donation if you can get John Barthlow to give a demonstration on training Iguanas. Thanks, Greg Heiden
